The floor was experience standing water and chemical problems. We installed a concrete trench and sloped to the new sumps to prevent this from happening in the future. First we cut the concrete through 13" slab on grade to build the trench. We then built and set up the forms for the walls of the new trench. Next the walls were poured with HI-EARLY concrete and vibrate cement. Then the forms were removed and the floor of the trench was poured with HI-EARLY sloping to the sump. To build the new sumps, we form the walls and then pour novalac vinyl ester polymer concrete, 4" to 6" thick. Then we removed the forms and poured the floor with the same polymer concrete. NOTE: This construction has chemical reisitance to concentrated acids and caustics; throughout the 4" to 6" wall and floor thickness. |
